Billie Eilish seemingly expressed her opinion that the People’s Choice Awards weren’t intended for TikTok creators during a private conversation with Kylie Minogue at the event.
Video footage captured Eilish appearing to comment on the presence of many TikTokers at the ceremony, with Minogue responding in apparent agreement.
“There’s so many TikTokers here,” Eilish — who attempted to cover her mouth to hide what she was whispering — appeared to say to Minogue, who seemed to state “like no need” as both nodded their heads in agreement.
This interaction sparked reactions on social media, with fans interpreting Eilish’s comments as her disapproval of TikTok influencers.
“She talking s— on TikTokers,” one user pointed out, as another added, “Billie DRAGGING the tiktokers! She’s so real,” and a third fan wrote: “Billie Eilish doesn’t like TikTokers confirmed.”
Despite this, Eilish was honored with an award for her TV performance in the show “Swarm” at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.
