The body of Michael Mosley, a well-known doctor and BBC host, who went missing last Wednesday on the Greek island of Symi, has been found dead.
Mosley disappeared while on vacation in Greece. He went for a walk alone and didn’t return. His wife, Clara Bailey, reported him missing when he didn’t come back after several hours. Initially, it was believed he might have fallen off a cliff into the sea.
By Friday, the police, coast guard, and firefighters were all searching for Mosley. They used a helicopter, drones, and a search dog, and stayed in contact with the UK Foreign Office for updates. As time went on, hopes of finding him alive faded. The search concentrated on the area between Agios Nikolaos, where he began his walk, and Symi’s main town. It was confirmed that Mosley hadn’t left the island. Eventually, his body was found in a cave in the Agia Marina area.
Mosley was very popular in the UK, appearing frequently on TV, radio, and in the Daily Mail. Known for his expertise in nutrition and his experiments, he authored the book “The Fast Diet.”
