Kanye West is facing battery charges in Los Angeles for allegedly punching a man who attempted to grab his wife, Bianca Censori.
Reports suggest that the altercation occurred in West Hollywood, where West is being investigated as a suspect.
His representative emphasized that the term “grabbed” understates the severity of the incident, stating that Bianca was physically assaulted.
The 46-year-old rapper reportedly engaged in a brief scuffle with the man, resulting in multiple punches being thrown.
“The assailant didn’t merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted.” The rep added.
Police sources informed TMZ that the current incident is under investigation from both perspectives. Kanye West and Bianca reportedly left the scene after the altercation. The individual punched did not require medical attention, and the police intend to interview Kanye and other witnesses. Neither party has made statements yet.
This recent incident isn’t Kanye’s first brush with battery charges. In 2022, during his divorce from Kim Kardashian, he was involved in a confrontation outside Soho West nightclub. Then, in late 2023, he punched a photographer who asked about his wife, Bianca. No legal action was taken in that instance.
